gallery-1497282750-nh-belstaff-ss18-presentation-062I had the absolute pleasure of working on the Belstaff SS18 presentation at London Fashion Week Mens held at the magnificent Somerset House within the confines of its newly opened wing, The Lancaster Rooms.

A perfect surrounding to incorporate this iconic brand within a raw space, in order to capture the essence of the collection, evoking a sense of open ended travel through extreme conditions and uncharted territories.

The Belstaff brand is all about adventure and exploration with a stylish twist. A modern British heritage brand that evokes a contemporary lifestyle steeped in history, but also a brand that is very much in the present and always forward thinking.

For spring/summer 2018 the collection presents a unified front for both menswear and womenswear, which was inspired by the marathon race that is the Paris Dakar rally. This was a particularly treacherous journey for these riders as they never quite knew what was around the corner so always had to be prepared for every eventuality, wardrobe included.

Whilst this collection can be seen as beautifully functional, it is the additions of bold prints and the use of luxurious materials that set this collection apart. Garments were presented in lightweight and highly technical styles ensuring protection and wearability in all climates.

Belstaff ‘s iconic outerwear can be seen throughout the collection as continually evolving, through the use of classical silhouettes that are enhanced for the modern day wearer. The collection offered a gorgeous colour palette creating a spectrum of soft pastels to a much more bold palette of burnt orange and coppers, thus ensuring a more impactful colour way for the spring/ summer ‘18 season.
