A JUXTAPOSITION OF SUPREME FEMININITY
For her first ever catwalk show at London Fashion Week Ukrainian born designer, Natasha Zinko, created a reinterpretation of some of the most distinctive themes from her homeland. From stylised knee high boots to the iconic, traditional floral scarf.
The designer was noted to have wanted to create an image of an “eclectic clash” which was absolutely achieved through the mediums of oversized blazers and deconstructed trenches, from scarf print dresses to tracksuits, top handle handbags, reworked frayed denim pieces and inclusions of camouflage.
This overhaul of eclecticism could have diluted this collection slightly, but in doing so Natasha Zinko ensured an unpretentious aesthetic.
There was not only variation from design to design, but also diversty within the designs themselves like the tracksuit made up of patchwork textiles and embossed with the slogan “Back to the Future” in Ukranian – an ever popular feature on the catwalks this season.
A catwalk show filled with excitement and intrigue encompassing an eclectic creation of femininity paired with a vision of utilitarian strength.
